‘When I made the decision to establish SAMA, I envisioned a centre that would become a hub for young Muslims in our community where we can show them the beauty of Islam. Our young muslims need an education which is balanced in both Islamic studies and the National Curriculum to help create outstanding citizens and a bright future for Islam.’

Ustadh Badr has over two decades worth of experience in Islamic education and community work in the UK.

Completing his BA (Hons) in Islamic Studies and Arabic Language with SOAS University. As well as studying Islamic Shari’ah in 1998 (UAE)

Born and raised in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Mahmood memorised the Holy Qur’an by the age of 14. He furthered his studies in key Islamic sciences, including Uloom Al-Qur’an & Tafseer (Sciences of the Qur’an & Exegesis), Hadith (Prophetic Narrations), Aqeedah (Theology), and Fiqh (Jurisprudence/Law), under the guidance of esteemed scholars.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business and Entrepreneurship from UAE University in Al-Ain City and later pursued postgraduate studies, earning an MBA Master’s in International Business from the University of Greenwich, London.

With over 15 years of experience in business consulting, media, public relations, education, and community development, Mahmood has worked extensively across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh, and the United Kingdom. He has taken on leadership roles in both corporate and non-profit sectors, overseeing strategic initiatives, organisational growth, and capacity-building programs.

Beyond his professional career, Mahmood has been actively involved in community work, leading congregational prayers and promoting engagement within diverse communities.

As a Teacher & Operations Manager of SAMA, a charitable organisation dedicated to community development and youth empowerment, he plays a pivotal role in driving impactful programs, enhancing educational opportunities, and equipping individuals with essential life skills. With a strong commitment to youth empowerment, he actively works to enhance the skills and knowledge of the SAMA team, students, and the Roman Road community, promoting positive change by combining knowledge, leadership, spirituality, and social responsibility.

Our teachers work hard to ensure that we get to the core of your child’s needs, nurturing their growth from the second they join SAMA. Our centre managers and child development managers are in regular communication between parents, teachers, and management.
